Oui Oui Boulangerie to host grand opening on Main St., joined by Chattanooga officials and community leaders
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (July 8, 2026) – Johann and Siliza Tremor, the co-founders and co-owners of Chattanooga’s new French bakery Oui Oui Boulangerie will host a day-long grand opening at their brick-and-mortar building, located at 338 Main St. in Chattanooga. The grand opening falls on the French holiday “Bastille Day” on July 14, with festivities beginning at 7 a.m.
“It’s an honor seeing how receptive this community is to authentic French foods here in Chattanooga,” said co-owner Johann Tremor. “This next step is exciting for our entire family, and we are dedicated to bringing the community together for a shared love of French cuisine.”
Tremor’s entrepreneurial journey in Chattanooga was shaped by hard work, creativity, and a deep commitment to bringing his culinary vision to life. A native of France, Johann’s journey eventually landed him in Chattanooga, where he connected to the LAUNCH Startup Matrix Accelerator and later became a member of LAUNCH’s Kitchen Incubator of Chattanooga (KIC), where he continues to develop his menu and prepare daily items for the bakery. Through LAUNCH, Tremor was connected to business support, community resources, and opportunities that helped him continue growing his business and work toward opening his first brick-and-mortar location.
“We’ve enjoyed being a part of Johann’s journey in Chattanooga,” said LAUNCH Co-CEO DeJuan Jordan. “This is why we do what we do. Helping entrepreneurs grow and build a business while contributing to the economic success of Chattanooga, is something LAUNCH will always be committed to.”
Tremor then worked with River City Company when integrating into his brick-and-mortar, using the organization’s specialized grant to create a vibrant storefront for customers.
“Oui Oui Boulangerie is the perfect example of how a community can come together to support a successful entrepreneur and a growing business. From the signage to the beautiful awning to interior construction, the Scenic Storefronts program provided a matching grant to pair with the dollars invested by the business owner. Façade improvements, like the ones implemented by Oui Oui Boulangerie, not only attract more patrons, but it also enhances the feel of the street to the everyday visitor. We are grateful to the City of Chattanooga for believing in the Scenic Storefronts program and providing support that directly impacts local and small businesses,” said Sarah Mattson, Senior Director of Economic Development at River City Company
